New Unique Look, Same Features and Functions

As you know, Extron introduced TouchLink^®, our new line of configurable touchpanel control systems, with great success at InfoComm. The TLP 350CV TouchLink 3.5" Cable Cubby® Touchpanel created a lot of buzz at the show, and it was, without a doubt, one of the highlights for show attendees.

Recognizing that our design was very similar to another patented design, we redesigned the TLP 350CV. You’ll note from the images below that our new look is substantially different from the model we introduced at InfoComm, but the features and functions, including the configurable control aspect of the TouchLink product line, remain unchanged.

The result of the need to redesign the product, unfortunately, is a delay in delivery of approximately 6 to 8 weeks. We expect a December 15 delivery date, perhaps sooner.

Our Product is Much Simpler to Install and Maintain, and Costs Far Less to Own

Design changes aside, the primary reason you or your customer will select an Extron TouchLink configurable control system, over a programmable one from another manufacturer, will have less to do with "look" of the product than the product features and functions. Your choice will be made on the fact that, for the same application, our product is much simpler to install and maintain, and costs far less to own.

Our touchpanel control systems are Configurable, with no Programming required. The cost of installing and integrating a TouchLink system is lower, as there is no waiting for custom programming and the installation does not require the oversight of a programmer. And over the years the cost of ownership will be far less with the Extron configurable control philosophy, because the owner will be able to make changes to the TouchLink control system to add new sources or displays on his own, without the need to hire a programmer to reprogram the system. We have demonstrated this for nearly a decade, now, with our MediaLink® control system product line, which integrates seamlessly with our TouchLink line. We are excited about our new TouchLink configurable touchpanels and truly believe that they will change the way you think about touchpanel control systems.
