The SWP123 presentation switcher combines three A/V switchers and a master audio switcher into one space-efficient, economical product:
  • 4x1 Composite Video + Stereo Audio Switcher
  • 4x1 Y/C Video + Stereo Audio Switcher
  • 4x1 VGA + Stereo Audio Switcher
  • Master Audio Switcher - Selects Video,
Y/C, VGA or Microphone Audio Signal
  • 450 MHz Video Bandwidth

Presentation System Applications
The SWP123 makes it easy to select among multiple composite video, Y/C video and VGA sources along with their associated stereo audio signals and route the desired signals to a presentation display like a data projector, plasma display or presentation monitor.

Production and A/V Routing Applications
The SWP123 may also be used as an extremely economical solution for small production suites, home theater installations or other A/V signal routing applications that would normally use three separate A/V switchers for composite video + stereo audio, Y/C video + stereo audio and VGA + stereo audio switching.

Superb Video Performance
Offering video bandwidth of 450 MHz, the SWP123 offers ample performance for VGA signals at the highest resolutions and refresh rates.

Audio-Follow-Video Switching
The composite video, Y/C video and VGA switchers each feature a companion four input stereo audio switcher that provides audio-follow-video switching capability for line level unbalanced stereo signals. Each switcher features a passive local output connector (no attenuation or volume control) that can be wired for unbalanced or balanced audio signals. The local output for each audio switcher is always active, regardless of the signal currently selected by the Master Audio Switcher.

IR Remote Control
All switching and volume functions can be controlled via infrared commands using the optional CTL120-3 infrared remote control.

Master Audio Switcher
This master audio switcher selects the between four audio signals: composite video audio signal, S-Video audio signal, VGA audio signal or the microphone input. The master audio output can be wired for balanced or unbalanced stereo audio output signal and features a variable output level.

The master audio switcher features a volume control and mute button. The SWP123 also stores a unique audio trim level for each input that is automatically recalled when that input is routed to the master audio output. The input audio trim controls are useful to adjust for various audio input signal levels and also to compensate for the 6 dB gain change that occurs when converting from unbalanced to balanced audio. All audio functions can be controlled locally using the front panel buttons or remotely via serial commands or IR remote control.

Microphone Input
The SWP123 includes a high quality microphone preamplifier and features an XLR connector for easy connection to low impedance, balanced microphones. A rear panel switch engages +24V phantom power for condenser microphones. Front panel controls are provided for Mic Level as well as a button to activate the Microphone Talk Over function.

Microphone Talk Over
The Microphone Talk Over feature is ideal for restaurants, entertainment venues, presentation systems and other applications that require voice announcements to be heard over a background audio source. When microphone talk over is activated, the microphone signal is mixed with the selected audio source.

The currently selected audio source (composite / S-video / VGA) is automatically attenuated when ever a signal is present at the microphone input and returned to a normal level when the microphone input is inactive. The Talk Over Threshold Adjust Control determines the input signal level required to engage the talk over function. Located on the rear panel, this control can be adjusted to optimize the talk over operation to accommodate variables such as microphone output level, voice volume, or ambient noise level.

Robust Remote Control Capability
All switching and volume functions can be controlled remotely using serial commands. The control port is compatible with RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 protocols and offers fast communication speeds with advanced control signal buffering for enhanced reliability. The SWP123 uses the new INLINE serial control protocol which provides fast, easy programming and powerful control options like individual unit addresses.

Powerful Control Software
The INLINE control software included with the SWP123 offers an intuitive graphical interface for effortless control of all switcher functions using a PC. IP Server Software is also included, providing comprehensive control of the SWP123 over a LAN, WAN or the Internet. For IP control applications, the INLINE control software is installed on a local computer (Client) while the IP Server Software is installed on a remote computer (Server) located near the SWP123. A serial control cable is then connected between the server computer's serial port and the SWP123 serial port.
