Overview

The Extron NetPA 1001‑70V AT is a half rack 1U, convection cooled power amplifier featuring Dante^® digital audio networking. It delivers a single channel of 100 watts at 70 volts for high impedance speaker systems. The NetPA^® amplifier receives a channel of audio from a Dante-enabled device over a standard local area network, allowing for decentralized distribution of audio throughout a building. In addition to amplifying incoming Dante audio, the NetPA amplifier features a line level output that can simultaneously feed an additional speaker zone or audio system. It is an ENERGY STAR® qualified amplifier with an Extron exclusive, highly efficient, advanced Class D amplifier design. It also features patented CDRS™ - Class D Ripple Suppression that provides improved signal fidelity over conventional Class D amplifiers.

Provide a compact, energy efficient audio amplifier that shall support one digital audio input received from a Dante™ audio network, one mono amplified output with 100 watts rms power output into a 70 volt line, and one line level output.
1. Compact mono amplifier with 100 watts rms power output into a 70 volt line, Dante audio networking, and ENERGY STAR^® qualification
  1. Input Requirements
    1. Shall support one digital audio input, received from a Dante audio network via an RJ-45 connector
  2. Output Requirements
    1. Shall support one balanced or unbalanced line level signal on one 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
      1. Output will provide Dante audio pass-through
    2. Shall support one high impedance speaker level signal on one 2-pole, 5 mm screw-lock captive screw connector
      1. Shall provide a total of 100 watts rms output power into a 70 volt line measured at 1 kHz with 0.1% THD
      2. Shall provide a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 90 dB measured from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, unweighted
      3. Shall support a minimum load impedance of 50 ohms
      4. Shall provide a THD+N measurement of less than 0.1% measured at 1 kHz, at 8 ohms and 3 dB below clipping
    3. Shall provide a switch-selectable high pass filter for frequencies below 80 Hz with a 12 dB per octave rolloff
  3. Amplifier Requirements
    1. Shall utilize an efficient Class D amplifier design
    2. Shall provide Class D Ripple Suppression technology
    3. Shall be convection cooled and operate without fans or vents
    4. Shall provide an automatic clip limiter to detect onset of clipping by comparing input and output waveforms and automatically reduce gain without audible artifacts to eliminate clipping distortion
    5. Shall provide multiple protection circuits that activate during output shorts, thermal overload, or DC faults
  4. Dante Audio Networking Requirements
    1. Shall support an incoming channel over a local area network using standard Internet protocols
      1. One incoming Dante channel from a Dante-equipped digital signal processor will be tied to the amplifier’s input section
    2. Shall support Dante Controller software for digital audio network configuration
    3. Shall provide an RJ-45 connector to support Dante audio network connection
    4. Shall synchronize to the master clock on the Dante network
    5. Shall provide uncompressed digital audio at 48 kHz sampling rate with 24-bit resolution
  5. Power Requirements
    1. Shall draw 22.7 watts during typical (1/8 power) operation
    2. Shall draw 7.5 watts during quiescent operation
    3. Shall provide a low power standby mode
      1. Shall enter standby mode after 25 minutes (+/- 5 minutes) of inactivity
