1. Provide an eBUS enabled modular and furniture-mountable enclosure that shall support a combination of AC power modules, AV cables, and cable retraction modules with an integrated button panel that can be configured or programmed for the purpose of remotely controlling, monitoring and troubleshooting connected AV equipment and AV systems when paired with an Extron IPCP Pro Series control processor.
   1. Fully-customizable furniture-mountable cable access enclosure with an integrated eBUS enabled button panel interface.
      1. Provide a total of ten fully-customizable soft-touch, backlit buttons, six dedicated for input selection, two dedicated for volume control and the remaining two dedicated for power control arranged in a logical order.
         1. Buttons shall illuminate white when active and shall have the ability to flash.
         2. Buttons shall feature two levels of illumination, dim and bright.
         3. Button text shall be able to be customized by selecting from pre-packaged kits or may be ordered individually using an online custom button application.
      2. Provide five white LEDs, arranged horizontally located just above the volume control buttons. When configured, these LEDs shall provide visual feedback to reflect the relative audio level of the AV system..
      3. Provide two eBUS ports on 4 pole captive screw connectors located on the bottom of the cable access enclosure that allows communication to the control processor and for control system expansion.
      4. Device shall feature a six pole DIP switch located on the bottom of the cable access enclosure for assigning a unique Bus ID to the button panel.
      5. Device shall include a reset button located on the bottom of the cable access enclosure that allows for the reset back to original factory settings.
      6. Provide three eBUS status LEDs located on the bottom of the cable access enclosure that will be used as a visual indication of connection, communication, and ID status.
      7. Device shall support one AC power module plus
         1. Up to eight AV cables, or
         2. Up to three AV connectivity plates, or
         3. Up to four cable retraction modules
      8. If AC power is not required, the device shall then support
         1. Up to sixteen AV cables, or
         2. Up to six AV connectivity plates, or
         3. Up to six cable retraction modules
      9. The device shall include modules and mounting frames to support AC or AC-plus-USB power, AV cables and/or AV connectivity plates.
         1. The modules shall be positioned within the enclosure, with no fewer than three installer-determined height positions
         2. The modules shall be positioned within the enclosure, mounting to the left or right of an installed AC power module or supplemental connectivity module
         3. AC power modules shall be available for all world markets
            1. AC power modules shall be UL listed and CE compliant when installed within the enclosure
            2. AC power modules shall include one or two AC power outlets, depending on the size of the AC outlet
            3. AC power modules shall include an attached AC power cord or IEC power inlet with detachable AC power cord, as required by local electrical power codes and conventions
         4. AC-plus-USB power modules shall also be available for world markets
            1. AC-plus-USB power modules shall be UL listed and CE compliant when installed within the enclosure
            2. AC-plus-USB power modules shall include one or two AC power outlets, depending on the size of the AC outlet

            4. AC-plus-USB power modules shall provide two USB power outlets
            5. USB power outlets shall provide 5 volts Direct Current and up to 2.1 amps, or 10.5 watts of power
            6. Total available current shall be shared by the two USB outlets
            7. An external, 12 volt DC, 1 amp power supply shall be included for the USB power outlets
            8. The external power supply shall be energy efficient and highly reliable, with a demonstrated mean time between failures of more than one million hours
            9. The external power supply shall be designed and manufactured by the same entity providing the enclosure and power module
         5. The cable pass-through plate shall be a single unit
            1. The plate shall be flexible to allow the installation, removal, or replacement of cables
            2. The plate shall utilize a split-ring design that accommodates a range of AV cable diameters without the need for supplemental grommets
            3. The plate shall include plugs to cap cable pass-through openings that are not utilized
            4. The assembled plate, with cables, shall install from the top of the enclosure, after it’s installed within the furniture surface
         6. The AV connectivity frame shall be a single unit
            1. The frame shall support three single-space AV connectivity plates, or one double-space and one single-space, or one triple-space AV connectivity plate
            2. The assembled frame, with AV connectivity plates and attached cables, shall install from the top of the enclosure, after it’s installed within the furniture surface
      10. Device shall include an attached and fully integrated, all metal lid and bezel assembly
      11. The lid and bezel assembly shall be available in a black anodized finish
      12. Device lid shall fit entirely within the bezel
          1. When closed, the lid shall provide a full-width opening for cable pass-through
          2. When open, the lid shall articulate to an optimum angle
          3. Device shall include a frictional pivot lid that prevents unwanted and hard closures
      13. Device enclosure shall mount entirely within an opening sufficient to accommodate the enclosure
      14. An installation routing template, of an appropriate size to accommodate the enclosure, shall be available optionally
      15. The enclosure shall feature an integrated clamp system
          1. The clamps shall be permanently affixed to the enclosure body
          2. The clamps shall utilize a lever-and-cam mechanism
          3. The clamps shall secure the enclosure to the furniture without the need for tools or additional parts
          4. The clamps shall allow for removal of the enclosure from the furniture without the need for specialized tools
      16. An Internet-accessible application for enclosure configuration and visualization shall be available
          1. Application shall provide for selection of the enclosure, AC power modules, AV cables, AV connectivity plates, control modules, and cable retraction modules
          2. Application shall provide accurate depiction of power and connectivity selections
          3. Application shall provide a method of saving a representation of the configured enclosure and corresponding bill of materials
          4. Application shall provide market-specific pricing of the configured enclosure for budgetary purposes
      17. Device may be wired using the following topologies: Daisy Chain, Star, and Hybrid.
      18. The cable length of a topology may not exceed a sum total of 1,000 feet.
      19. eBUS supports a maximum of eight devices when using Extron’s Global Configurator Plus or Professional or Global Scripter respectively
      20. eBUS supports the following cabling types:
          1. Extron STP20-2 Cable
          2. CAT5e or CAT 6 cable, the cable must be 23 AWG solid copper wire
      21. eBUS supports power and communication over a single cable.
      22. Supports a web-based AV resource management application that provides a means to manage, monitor, and control AV equipment.
      23. Device shall be controllable using Extron Control for Web, Android and iOS as a secondary point of control.
      24. Provide an integrated lid switch which can be configured to automatically wake the button panel interface when open and can trigger any other system functions.
   2. Mounting requirements
      1. Device shall have the ability to be mounted in a flat surface such as a table or other piece of furniture.
   3. Software requirements
      1. The interface may be configured or programmed using Extron’s Global Configurator Plus or Professional or Global Scripter respectively.
   4. Shall meet regulatory compliances
      1. Device shall be Section 508 compliant and shall meet or exceed U.S. accessibility standards for Electronic Information Technology.
