The IN3526vi is a 6-input, 1-output switcher for composite video or S-Video (Y/C) signals. The unit will connect to as many as six signal sources, routing the selected signal to an output device such as a monitor or VCR. Featuring composite video or S-Video switching capability, the IN3526vi offers a flexible alternative for permanent installations, multimedia production suites, staging systems, rentals and other applications requiring a compact, durable, high performance video switcher.

Front Panel Control - Users may select the desired input or blank the video output by pressing a front panel button. Front panel LEDs illuminate to indicate the currently selected input. When the Blank button is pressed, no signal is routed to the output. There is also an optional Sync Pass-Through mode where the video signal goes to black but the sync signal from Input 1 is routed to the output so that the display device does not lose sync lock when the image is blanked.

Automatic Sequencing - The IN3526vi can be set to automatically scan through selected inputs at a user selectable time interval. The inputs included in the scan and the time interval can be set by holding down specific buttons at power-on or by using an RS-232 serial command.

Vertical Interval Switching - The IN3526vi offers vertical interval switching for glitch-free tranistions when used with synchronous input sources. The switcher derives sync information from the video signal applied to Input 1. In vertical interval switching mode, the switcher delays the actual switch so that it occurs during the vertical blanking interval.

RS-232 Serial Control - Input selection, input blanking and other switcher settings can be controlled and adjusted using RS-232 serial commands.

An I/O Port is also provided, allowing the switcher to be remotely controlled by any device which is capable of providing momentary or latching contact closures. This port also includes a +5V power supply and tally outputs to provide feedback to a control system. The IN3590 wired remote control connects to the I/O port and provides remote switching capability. This hardwired unit features a 25' cable and duplicates the front panel channel selectors.

Expandable Design - Two or more IN3526vi switchers can be configured to work together as a large switching system with 11,16, or 21 inputs. The output of each switcher is connected to Input 1 of the next switcher and all serial ports are wired together.

Stereo Audio-Follow-Video Switching capability can be added by connecting an IN3546R stereo audio switcher to the IN3526vi I/O port. The IN3546R receives power and switching commands from the IN3526vi switcher and can be rack mounted next to the IN3526vi using the optional IN9080 rack shelf.
